Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro: Is this how much Xiaomi’s new flagship tablet will cost in Malaysia?

[UPDATE 15 May 1:53PM] : Xiaomi has since officially launched the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro in Malaysia, starting at RM2,799. Learn more about their new flagship tablet by clicking here.

Xiaomi Malaysia has been teasing the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro, their latest flagship tablet, on their social media pages for some time now with the Chinese tech giant set to host a live unboxing session on their Facebook page tomorrow (16 May). However, it seems that they may have inadvertently unveiled just how much the tablet will cost.

In a since-deleted post on their Facebook page, Xiaomi Malaysia posted that if you join and watch the live unboxing session on their Facebook page, you’ll be able to stand a chance to win a Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro for yourself. That post though included the value of the prize, accidentally revealing that the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro will be priced at RM2,799.

That being said, it does seem that there could be two configurations of the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro, at least according to the global product page; one with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage along with a higher tier tablet with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. As such, there’s no word just yet on whether the RM2,799 price tag is the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro’s starting price or the price of the higher tier configuration.

Nevertheless, the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro is certainly an impressive device, at least on paper. It features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 system-on-chip under the hood offering flagship performance, with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. Then there’s also its large 12.4-inch display, which despite being an LCD panel still offers up to 900nits of peak brightness, a 3048 x 2032p high resolution and full coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut.

Other features of note include a 50MP main camera on the back, a 32MP front camera for video calls, a large 10,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging as well as WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3 wireless connectivity. The Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro will also have its own assortment of optional accessories, such as a cover, keyboard with touchpad and a stylus.
