EV drivers heading to The Exchange Mall at TRX can now charge their vehicles while they shop thanks to the latest EV charger deployments by BMW and Gentari. A total of 13 EV charge points have been deployed at the Premium and Casual Parking areas of the mall.
A total of 5x 22kW AC charge points have been deployed at the Premium Carpark on the Concourse Floor (Near Pillar 1C), while the remaining 8x 22kW AC charge points are located at Level B1 (Near Pillar C13). The chargers at both locations are licensed and certified by the Energy Commission, however, they are priced based on time instead of kWh consumed.
The 22kW AC chargers are priced at RM0.25 per minute (RM15 per hour), and users with Annual Gentari Membership can enjoy 50% off (RM7.50 per hour). You can activate and pay for these chargers via Gentari Go, Setel, JomCharge and ChargEV apps.

According to BMW Group Malaysia they have made over 2,020 charging facilities available in its network to its customers through strategic partnerships with various EV charging providers in Malaysia. In addition, there are over 100 BMW i and MINI charging facilities available at most authorised dealerships, as well as partnering venues across the country.
The Exchange Parking Rates
The daily parking rate for the Premium Carpark at The Exchange is RM15 for the first hour. This is followed by RM4 for each subsequent hour, up to a maximum of RM50 per day. There’s also a flat rate of RM25 if you enter the Premium Carpark between 5.00pm to 5.00.am daily.
The Casual Parking area at The Exchange has a cheaper rate. On weekdays, it costs RM5 for the first hour, followed by RM4 for each subsequent hour. For the weekends, the Casual Parking rate is cheaper at RM3 per hour. The maximum charge per day is RM30 and there’s a flat rate of RM10 between 5:00pm to 5:00am daily.
