Honor Magic 6 Pro specs
The Magic 6 Pro will be quite familiar yet still interesting to those of you coming from Honor’s previous flagship smartphone, the Magic 5 Pro. The previous camera bump has been tweaked slightly with a ‘cushion design’ and their ‘star wheel’ triple camera on the back. Flip it around and you’ll find a large 6.8-inch, quad curved OLED display pushing a 2800 x 1280p resolution with a 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 5,000nits and all screen max brightness of 1,600nits. The display also offers 4,320Hz PWM dimming, making it easier on the eyes. You’ll find a layer of Honor’s own NanoCrystal Shield glass over it too that they claim is up to 10 times more drop resistance than before.
Under the hood, the Magic 6 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 system-on-chip, mated to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. It comes with Android 14 out of the box, skinned with their own MagicOS 8,0 over it. Honor has previously promised a minimum of four major Android OS upgrades and five years of security patches too, bringing it on par with rivals like Xiaomi and OnePlus but still behind Samsung and Google’s seven years of support. The Magic 6 Pro also sees the debut of the Magic Portal, Honor’s new UI layout, along with Magic Capsule—basically their take on the iPhone’s Dynamic Island.
In the camera department, the Magic 6 Pro’s eye-catching camera bump comes to life. It packs a main 50MP main camera using a 1/1.3″ image sensor with an f/1.4-f/2.0 ‘self adjusting’ aperture with optical image stabilisation. That gets flanked by a massive 180MP, f/2.6 periscope telephoto shooter using a 1/1.49-inch sensor offering a 2.5x optical zoom and up to a 100x digital zoom. Rounding things off is a 50MP, f/2.0 ultrawide and a 50MP, f/2.0 selfie shooter.
Other features of note here include a 5,600mAh battery—larger than its predecessor—with support for 80W Honor SuperCharge wired fast charging as well as 66W Honor SuperCharge wireless charging and 5W reverse wireless charging. The Magic 6 Pro also has stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint sensor, a 3D depth sensor next to the selfie camera, an IP68 dust and water resistance rating and support for 5G, NFC, WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3 wireless connectivity.
