Launched in Malaysia at the tail end of 2020, Sony PlayStation 5 has now been in our market for more than 3 years. Given that Sony rolled out the PS5 Slim in Malaysia last month, you can now get the original version for slightly less through various promos including the latest Ramadan offer by Sony Store Malaysia.

According to the retailer, the ongoing Ramadan Promo will last until 31 March and here’s what are being offered on the table:

With the discounts, you essentially can now obtain the PS5 console for less than its Malaysian launch price. When the console was released in Malaysia back in December 2020, the disc version was priced at RM2,299 while the Digital Edition went for RM1,869.
In August 2022, the price tag for the console was increased to RM2,499 and RM2,069, respectively. Citing global inflation rate and currency trends, the pricing remains as the official RRP for PS5 until today which also applies to the newer PS5 Slim variants.

Meanwhile, the Sony Store Malaysia’s Ramadan Promo also includes significant discounts for the PlayStation VR2 (PSVR2) set even though it still costs more than the PS5 itself:

Aside from the headset itself, the PSVR2 Standard package includes a pair of PSVR2 Sense controllers and stereo headphones. As for the Horizon Call of The Mountain bundle, customers also receive a PlayStation Store voucher code for them to download the game.
While Sony Store Malaysia did not mention this in its marketing material, you can also get PS Pulse 3D wireless headset for RM369 instead of its usual RM469 price tag. Customers can grab it in three colour options: White, Midnight Black, and Gray Camouflage.
In terms of availability, you can enjoy the PlayStation Ramadan Promo at the Sony Store in LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre and The Curve PJ. Alternatively, the promo is also available through Sony Store Online as well as its counterpart in Lazada and Shopee.
