Alongside their top-of-the-range Xiaomi 14 Ultra, the Chinese giant also launched their more mainstream flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi 14. While it may look a fair bit more modest than the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, the standard Xiaomi 14 still boasts plenty of features, such as

Xiaomi 14 specs
Compared to its larger stablemate, the Xiaomi 14 is a much more subdued device with a more compact footprint. It has a 6.36-inch AMOLED display, pushing a 2670 x 1200p resolution with a 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate, a peak brightness of 3,000nits and full coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. There’s also a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus over it for scratch resistance, while the back panel has a slight curve to it for an easier grip in the hand.
Under the hood is of course the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 system-on-chip. It was the first device to feature Qualcomm’s latest flagship silicon when it debuted in China late last year, and for Malaysians the Xiaomi 14 will come with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. Keeping it all cool meanwhile is a Xiaomi IceLoop cooling system. It will also come with Xiaomi HyperOS out of the box, skinned over Android 14, with Xiaomi guaranteeing a minimum of four major Android OS upgrades and five years of security patches.
As for its cameras, while it may not have the same camera chops as the 14 Ultra, the Xiaomi 14 is still a very good shooter. It comes with Leica Vario-Summilux 1:1.6-2.2/14-75 ASPH lenses over a triple rear camera setup housed in its squared off camera bump. The main 50MP, f/1.6 camera also utilises a new Light Fusion 900 1/1.31″ image sensor offering a 23mm equivalent shot with 13.5EV dynamic range, 8K 30fps video and native 14-bit colour depth.
That gets flanked by a 50MP, f/2.0 floating telephoto camera offering a 3.2x optical zoom equivalent to a 75mm shot along with a third 50MP, f/2.2 ultrawide shooter for a 14mm wide shot. This configuration is a rather significant upgrade over the Xiaomi 13, which had a 50MP main camera flanked by a 10MP telephoto and a 12MP ultrawide. The Xiaomi 14 also features plenty of Leica tools and features, such as Leica photography styles and the Master Lens portrait modes. Lastly, for selfies you get a 32MP, f/2.0 front-facing camera up front.
Other features of note include a 4,610mAh battery with support for 90W wired fast charging, 50W wireless fast charging and reverse wireless charging too. According to Xiaomi, you can get a full charge in just 31 minutes via wired fast charging and a full charge in just 46 minutes wirelessly. There’s also stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint sensor, an IP68 dust and water resistance rating along with support for 5G, NFC, WiFI 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 wireless connectivity. The Xiaomi 14 will be available in Black, White and Jade Green colour options.
