Alongside the Realme 12 Pro+ 5G, the Chinese brand has also launched the Realme 12+ 5G. This midrange smartphone shares a similar design philosophy as its more premium stablemate, with Malaysia also being the first market to launch the Realme 12+ 5G.

The Realme 12+ 5G will be available in just one configuration with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, with a recommended retail price of RM1,499. Available from now onwards at the official Realme store on TikTok, Lazada and Shopee as well as all authorised Realme retailers nationwide, from 1 March till 14 March all purchases of the Realme 12+ 5G will also come with a free year of extended warranty, a pair of Techlife wireless earbuds and for those who get it online, an additional Techlife T17C smartwatch too.
Realme 12+ 5G specs
The Realme 12+ 5G features a flat 6.67-inch OLED display, pushing an FHD+ resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 2,000nits and full coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. It eschews the curved display of the Realme 12 Pro+ 5G, with the non-Pro device getting flat, polished PVD sides instead with a vegan leather back and a circular camera bump that takes inspiration from luxury watch dials.
Under the hood, the Realme 12+ 5G packs a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 system-on-chip, mated to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of storage. It runs Android 14 out of the box, with Realme UI 5.0 skinned over it. Keeping the lights on meanwhile is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 67W SuperVOOC fast charging that Realme says will get it back to 50% in just 19 minutes.
As for its cameras, the Realme 12+ 5G features a main 50MP, f/1.88 camera utilising the new Sony LYT-600 image sensor, flanked by an 8MP, f/2.2 ultrawide shooter with a 112° field of view as well as a 2MP, f/2.4 macro camera that can shoot from as near as 4cm. On the front of the device meanwhile is a 16MP, f/2.45 camera for your selfie needs.
Other features of note on the Realme 12+ 5G include an in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers and an IP54 dust and water resistance rating. You’ll also find 5G, NFC, WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 wireless connectivity. The Realme 12+ 5G will be available in Pioneer Green and Navigator Beige colourways.
