CelcomDigi has launched their new CelcomDigi Prepaid 5G plans, available from as low as RM25 a month. Unlike their previous RM25 prepaid plans, this latest offering includes 5G connectivity as part of the plan rather than requiring users to get 5G boosters instead. Available from 1 March 2024 onwards, the new CelcomDigi Prepaid 5G plans will be split into two options: Edisi Biru and Edisi Kuning.
CelcomDigi Prepaid 5G Edisi Biru
Starting off with their Edisi Biru plan, this is the option to go for if your focus is unlimited internet connectivity. For the cheaper Edisi Biru plan priced at RM25/month, you will get 15GB of 5G/4G mobile data capped at 100Mbps; once that runs out you will switch to the ‘unlimited’ internet speed will be reduced down to 1Mbps instead. The slightly more expensive Edisi Biru plan for RM39/month however gets you much more high speed quota at 55GB of 100Mbps internet, as well as a higher ‘unlimited’ 3Mbps internet speed once your quota runs out.
Regardless of which tier you pick, the Edisi Biru plans will also come with unlimited calls to all networks as well as a 3GB hotspot quota capped with speeds capped to 100Mbps.
CelcomDigi Prepaid 5G Edisi Kuning
As for Edisi Kuning option, at the RM25/month tier you’ll get 30GB of high speed 5G/4G internet capped at 100Mbps, while for RM39/month you’ll get 75GB of high speed 5G/4G internet instead. Both Edisi Kuning tiers will come with unlimited calls to all networks as well as 6GB of hotspot quota with speeds capped to 100Mbps.
CelcomDigi Prepaid 5G Edisi Biru streaming pass bundle
Those of you who watch plenty of TV shows and dramas online will now have the option to get the CelcomDigi Prepaid 5G Edisi Biru with streaming passes bundled together. This is essentially the RM39/month Edisi Biru plan bundled with your option of either a Viu or iQiyi subscription, with the former priced at RM44/month and the latter at RM47/month. Once you sign up for the Edisi Biru with streaming bundle, you can then simply use your phone number to log into your streaming platform to begin watching.

What about those on legacy Celcom and Digi prepaid plans?
When asked about whether or not all CelcomDigi plans will be getting free 5G access or not, we were told that they were giving their users the option to either stick with their old plans without 5G if they wish, or switch to their latest offerings that have 5G.
Before this, the cheapest way to enjoy 5G on Celcom or Digi prepaid without a booster is with either Digi Prepaid Next 5G 48 or Celcom Xpax Prepaid 5G, with both costing RM48/month. For plans that cost RM25/month though, the previous Digi Prepaid Next 25 and Xpax Prepaid Unlimited 25 would’ve required users to get 5G boosters priced from as low as RM3 for 1 day and 3GB of 5G data capped at 100Mbps.
