Asus A3402 specs
Right off the bat, the Asus A3402 is certainly a stylish machine, with a sleek and minimalist aesthetic to it that wouldn’t be out of place in any home or office environment. The display itself is a 23.8-inch, IPS anti-glare display pushing a 1080p resolution with full coverage of the sRGB colour gamut, a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, a typical brightness of 250nits and an 88% screen-to-body ratio. Propping it up then is an integrated stand whose design was inspired by uh—checks notes—the Chinese word 人, symbolising a ‘human aesthetic’, complete with tilt adjustment for better viewing angles.
Powering the Asus A3402 meanwhile are the 12th Gen Intel Core i3-1215U and the Intel Core i5-1235U. The Core i3 model comes with 8GB of DDR4 3200MHz RAM stock, while the Core i5 can be configured with up to 16GB of RAM; you can also upgrade the RAM yourself later on with more SODIMM memory. Asus have included a 512GB PCIe 3.0 SSD across the board, with additional storage upgrades also possible as there’s a 2.5-inch SATA HDD drive bay present too. No discrete graphics here, so you’ll have to make do with Intel UHD graphics on the Core i3 model and Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics on the Core i5 ones. The A3402 comes with Windows 11 Home pre-installed, with Microsoft Office Home & Student 2021 also included.
While it might not be the most powerful PC in terms of raw performance, Asus was quick to boast about the A3402’s audio capabilities instead. The Asus A3402 comes with a pair of 3W stereo speakers in a bass reflex design, allowing them to produce smoother and more powerful bass. It also comes with Asus SonicMaster software for more control over your audio tuning, and the speakers are Dolby Atmos certified too. Then there’s the integrated microphone array too with AI-powered two way noise cancelling.
Elsewhere, the Asus A3402 features a 720p webcam located above the display, while for I/O you’ll find an SD card reader, a 3.5mm combo audio jack, two USB-A 2.0 ports, three USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port, an Ethernet port, a HDMI 1.4 output as well as a HDMI 1.4 input port too; the latter means you can use the display and speakers of the A3402 with external sources, such as your laptop, game console or even TV box. You’ll also get WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 wireless connectivity, as well as a wireless keyboard and mouse included in the box.
