Acer has launched multiple new monitors in Malaysia, providing users with a bunch of options for monitors at not only various price points, but also for various use cases with office monitors, gaming monitors and even a new portable monitor.
Acer PM161Q B
Starting off with the Acer PM161Q B—the ‘PM’ apparently stands for ‘portable monitor’—this ultra thin portable display weighs just 0.97kg and measures a mere 2cm thin. Taking up minimal desk space, the Acer PM161Q B is positioned by Acer as an ideal secondary monitor for work and presentations, with the simplicity of using just a USB-C cable to hook it up to your laptop, smartphone or tablet with USB-C DP-Alt display output support. Alternatively, a secondary Micro-USB slot is also present for power delivery if needed, with a mini HDMI port for display connectivity in that case.
As for the display itself, it’s a 15.6-inch, 1080p IPS display with a brightness of 250nits and a 4ms grey-to-grey response time. It offers 170° viewing angles, a 100,000,000:1 contrast ratio and covers 45% of the NTSC colour gamut. Incidentally, you can also use it as a speaker as it comes with a pair of 1W speakers built in. You could even mount it to a wall if you wanted to as there’s two VESA mount holes on the stand equivalent to a 75x75mm VESA mount.
You can find the Acer PM161Q B on sale at the Acer Malaysia eStore, the official Acer stores on Shopee and Lazada as well as all Acer authorised retailers nationwide for RM459.

It also has two HDMI 2.1 ports and a DisplayPort 1.4 port for I/O.
If you want a little more clarity in your life, the VG272K V3 is a 27-inch, IPS display with a 4K resolution, a 160Hz refresh rate, a 0.5ms grey-to-grey response time, 95% coverage of the DCI-P3 colout gamut and a peak brightness of 400nits. The 1440p Nitro VG272U W2 is priced at RM1,099 while the 4K Nitro VG272K V3 is priced at RM1,499, and you can find them on sale at the Acer Malaysia eStore, official Acer stores on Shopee and Lazada as well as all authorised Acer retailers nationwide.
Acer SA2 Series
If you don’t need neither the portability nor the high refresh rates of the aforementioned monitors, then the Acer SA2 series could be more up your alley. These ultra thin and slim bezelled displays are positioned as wallet friendly, everyday home and office monitors that come large in both size and resolution. You’ll be able to find these four new Acer SA2 monitors at the Acer Malaysia eStore, their official stores on Shopee and Lazada as well as all authorised Acer retailers nationwide.
There are four options here, with the largest one being the Acer SA322QK with a 31.5-inch VA panel pushing a 4K resolution, a standard 60Hz refresh rate and has built in speakers, two HDMI ports and a DisplayPort input for just RM999. Then there’s the Acer SA322QUA, with a similarly sized 31.5-inch IPS display pushing a 1440p resolution. It has a slightly higher 75Hz refresh rate, and has built in speakers too along with two HDMI ports and a DisplayPort, all for just RM799.
The Acer SA322QA meanwhile is also a 31.5-inch IPS display but with a lower 1080p resolution, a 75Hz refresh rate, a 1ms response time has a VGA and HDMI port only, with no built in speakers. It’s priced at RM649. Lastly, we have the SA272UE, a 27-inch IPS display with a 1440p resolution, a 100Hz refresh rate, built in speakers, two HDMI ports and a DisplayPort input for RM629.
