Realme has now confirmed that there will be two new devices heading to our shores later this month, the Realme 12 Pro+ 5G and the Realme 12+ 5G. These two midrange smartphones will officially be launched here on the 29th of February, but the Chinese smartphone marque is already taking pre-orders for them now.
In fact, Realme is giving away plenty of free gifts for those of you who take part in their blind pre-order promotion for the Realme 12+ 5G and Realme 12 Pro+ 5G. You can place your pre-order for just RM12 at any Realme Brand Store nationwide, and finalise your purchase from 1 March onwards at the same store you pre-ordered it at.
If you pre-order the Realme 12 Pro+ 5G, you’ll get a free Realme Techlife X60 wireless earbuds, a Techlift Smartwatch T17C and a year of extended warranty worth RM799 in total. If you prefer the Realme 12+ 5G meanwhile you’ll get the same smartwatch and free year of extended warranty along with a pair of Techlife Wireless Earbuds instead, worth a total of RM699.
While you will have to wait till the start of next month to be able to get your hands on it, we do at least know what to expect with the Realme 12 Pro+ 5G already. The highlight here is really its 50MP main camera packing a Sony IMX890 sensor that comes with an 8MP ultrawide and a 64MP telephoto offering 3x optical zoom, 6x in-sensor zoom and up to 120x digital zoom. It also boasts a large 6.7″ FHD+ curved OLED display that has a 120Hz refresh rate, while under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 system-on-chip. Keeping the lights on meanwhile is a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging.
As for the Realme 12+ 5G, this device has yet to debut anywhere else so the final specifications have yet to be confirmed. However, Realme themselves has teased a fair bit about what to expect with the Realme 12+ 5G. For example, the Realme 12+ 5G is set to feature a 50MP main camera on the back using a Sony LYT-600 1/1.953″ image sensor, the first smartphone to use that sensor in this price segment. Realme is also claiming its SuperOIS feature will reduce blurry footage when vlogging, with an enhanced frame reset speed of 8ms, a 40% improvement on traditional OIS solutions.
