Asus loves their laptops with OLED displays, but what’s better than just one OLED display? Two apparently, at least judging by their new Asus Zenbook Duo that replaces your usual keyboard and touchpad with a secondary 14-inch OLED panel.

Having only debuted in CES 2024 earlier this month, Asus has announced that the dual display ultraportable will indeed be making its way to Malaysia. According to Asus, while there will be two variants coming to our shores, the Intel Core Ultra 7 model will be made available first on 19 February onwards, with the Intel Core Ultra 9 one coming at a later date.

Asus Zenbook Duo specs
The biggest design change with the latest Zenbook Duo is of course that it now comes with dual 14-inch, 16:10 Asus Lumina OLED touchscreen displays, each pushing a 2880 x 1800p resolution and capable of up to 500nits of peak brightness. They also cover the full DCI-P3 colour gamut, have a 120Hz refresh rate and come with DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification too. Built to be a productivity machine, you can use it in dual screen mode, flipped vertically for desktop mode, or have it in sharing mode with both screens flat on the table. A redesigned kickstand meanwhile lets you prop up the device in dual screen mode.
Of course, even though there are plenty of gestures and swipes along with the on-screen keyboard that can let you use the secondary display in lieu of a proper keyboard, Asus does bundle an Asus ErgoSense Bluetooth keyboard and touchpad with the Zenbook Duo. Thankfully, the Bluetooth keyboard and touchpad does come with pogo pins too, letting you attach it over the bottom display to make it become more like a traditional laptop; this pogo pin also charges the keyboard so that you can remove it for when you want to use both displays again.
Under the hood, the Zenbook Duo comes with either the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H or the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H. Regardless of which processor you opt for, you will find 32GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD as standard, along with Intel Arc integrated graphics and the Intel AI Boost NPU found in the new Meteor Lake processors. There’s also Windows 11 Home preloaded as well as Microsoft Office Home & Student 2021 with every Zenbook Duo.
Elsewhere, there’s a 75Wh battery keeping the lights on together with a 65W USB-C power brick that Asus claims will not only deliver an all-day battery life but also has an extended lifespan of 20% more charging cycles. As for I/O you get two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a HDMI 2.1 port, a USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 port and a 3.5mm audio jack; there’s support for WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 wireless connectivity too. The whole tihng weighs just 1.35kg without the keyboard, and measures only 14.6mm thick.
