Fresh off its global debut at CES 2024, Asus is now bringing in the ROG Zephyrus G16 to our shores. This sleek-looking gaming laptop packs not just a large OLED display with G-SYNC but also some of the best gaming hardware under the hood, all while being thin and light enough to be carried around on the go.
Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 Malaysia pricing and availability
Four different configurations of the new ROG Zephyrus G16 will be coming to Malaysia, with the base model available later this month from the Asus Malaysia eStore with the three other configurations going on sale some time in mid-February. Here’s how much the ROG Zephyrus G16 will be going for in Malaysia:

Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 specs
As Asus was quick to highlight with the ROG Zephyrus G16, this is the first ever ROG gaming laptop to come with OLED panels. Specifically, we’re looking at 16-inch OLED panels in a 16:10 aspect ratio pushing a 2560 x 1600p resolution that is capable of a 240Hz refresh rate, a 0.2ms response time, 500nits brightness and support for NVIDIA G-SYNC too. These ‘ROG Nebula’ displays as they’re calling it also cover the full DCI-P3 colour gamut, has been Pantone validated and supports Dolby Vision HDR too. Do note however that the base model will come with an IPS panel instead, with mostly the same specs barring a slower 3ms response time.
Under the hood, you’ll find an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H on the IPS model while the three OLED models have an Intel Core Ultra 9 185H instead, as well as 32GB of LPDDR5X memory across the board. The top end Zephyrus G16 also comes with a 2TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, while the other three come with a 1TB SSD. Because they all come with Intel Core Ultra processors, you’ll find that the G16 has the Intel AI Boost NPU for handling AI-related workloads too. As for graphics, at the very top is an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 with a 115W TGP, with GeForce RTX 4070 and RTX 4060 options at 105W TGP also available. They will all come with Windows 11 Home out of the box.
Elsewhere, a 90Whr battery keeps the lights on, with a 200W power brick for the RTX 4060 and RTX 4070 models and a 240W one for the more power hungry RTX 4080 model. On top of that, RGB backlit keyboards and 1080p webcams with Windows Hello support are standard across the range, along with 4-speaker setups and support for WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 wireless connectivity. As for I/O, you’ll find a 3.5mm audio jack, a HDMI 2.1 output, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port, a Thunderbolt 4 port and an SD card reader.
The whole laptop is built out of an all aluminum chassis, and weighs as little as 1.85kg which is fairly impressive considering the screen size and the hardware you’re getting. Gone however is that AniMe Matrix display on the lid, replaced with a more minimalistic ‘Slash Lighting’ bar that strikes across the lid diagonally.
