Without any fanfare, U Mobile secretly increased the Internet quota for a couple of its postpaid plans. The biggest winner is the U Postpaid 68, which saw an increase from 200GB to 300GB, a 50% increase in quota. The biggest percentage increase meanwhile goes to the cheapest postpaid plan, the U Postpaid 38 plan. Subscribers now enjoy 120GB of internet data quota, an increase of 100% from the original 60GB.
Only the U Postpaid 98 did not see any increase in internet quota, although, at 1000GB a month, it is already one of the plans with the biggest internet data quota around town.
Last year, U Mobile did something similar as they doubled the internet quota for the U Postpaid 38 plan to 60GB.
All these plans are 5G-ready, and customers can use their high-speed data as hotspot data. Like before, all voice calls within Malaysia comes free as standard.
For roaming, the U Postpaid 68 customers can roam to Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia for free. Users can tap into the high-speed data quota to roam in these three countries. For U Postpaid 98, there is no extra charge to roam in 63 selected countries world wide, with a 15GB roaming data quota that is refreshed monthly. Customers can also receive incoming calls for free while they are overseas.
