Honor Magic V2 quick specs
At just 9.9mm when folded, Magic V2 is 3mm slimmer than its predecessor. The phone also generally surpassed other foldable devices in the market when it comes to thickness.
As a comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5’s thickness is 13.4 mm while the Huawei Mate X3 and Oppo N3 are 11.08mm and 11.7mm, respectively. The Magic V2 is also just 4.7mm thin when unfolded and it also weighs at only 231g.
Meanwhile, Honor has implemented a titanium alloy cover on its shaft to strengthen the durability of Magic V2’s hinge. The company claimed that the new titanium alloy shaft is 150% stronger than a similar-sized shaft made from aluminium alloy while the device can last up to 400,000 folds.
Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the device also comes with a 6.43-inch cover display which has an LTPO OLED panel and a native resolution of 2376 x 1060. Honor also utilises an LTPO OLED panel for the phone’s massive 7.92-inch main screen that has a 2344 x 2156 resolution.
Both displays offer a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and can support HDR10+ content. Interestingly enough, the Magic V2’s main screen is also an IMAX Enhanced-certified display.
When it comes to photography, the Magic V2 offers its triple camera setup which includes a 50MP f/1.9 main camera with an optical image stabilisation system. The rear camera module also has a 50MP f/2.0 ultrawide camera alongside a 20MP telephoto camera with 2.5x optical zoom and 40x digital zoom capabilities.
Alongside these three cameras, the camera module also contains an 8×8 dToF laser focusing system as well as flicker and colour temperature sensors. For selfies, the Magic V2 comes with a 16MP f/2.2 camera on both of its main and cover screens.
Capping off the Magic V2’s general specifications is a dual-cell battery with a total capacity of 5000mAh. This foldable supports wired fast charging of up to 66W through the Honor SuperCharge technology but no wireless charging capability though.
