Xiaomi is finally bringing the latest incarnation of their ever popular Redmi Note series to the world stage. Having already debuted in India, the Redmi Note 13 series is now here and at the very top of the family is the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G.
Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G Malaysia pricing and availability
The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G will be available for purchase from 20 January onwards from all authorised Xiaomi stores nationwide along with the official Xiaomi store on Lazada and Shopee. Here’s how much the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G will cost in Malaysia:

- Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G, 12GB RAM, 512GB storage – RM1,999
As part of the launch promotion, if you purchase the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G on their official Lazada store from 20 January till 2 February, you’ll also be getting a free pair of Redmi Buds 4 Active worth RM119 and a Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Active worth RM129.
Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G specs
The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G will certainly look rather pleasing to the eye, thanks to its 6.67-inch CrystalRes AMOLED display which also comes with curves on each side. This panel is capable of a 2712 x 1220p resolution, up to a 120Hz refresh rate, a 1,800nits peak brightness, a 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio, a 2,160Hz touch sampling rate and 1,920Hz PWM dimming which could reduce eye strain when using the device for long. It also covers the full DCI-P3 colour gamut and has a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus over it for scratch resistance.
Under the hood, you’ll find a Dimensity 7200-Ultra, an upper-midrange 4nm system-on-chip from MediaTek mated to up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Unfortunately, unlike the Xiaomi 14 series and the Poco X6 series, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G and its stable mates will not come with HyperOS out of the box, instead coming with Android 13 skinned with MIUI 14 over it.
You won’t be looking at getting the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G for its software though that’s for sure as the star of the show here really is its cameras. In particular, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G comes with a massive 200MP, f/1.65 main camera using a 1/1.4″ image sensor and a 7P lens, offering 16-in-1 binning to 2.24μm pixels, optical image stabilisation and ‘lossless’ in-sensor 2x and 4x zoom. That gets flanked by an 8MP, f/2.2 ultrawide shooter an a 2MP, f/2.4 macro lens while a 16MP front camera rounds things off.
Elsewhere, you’ll find a 5,000mAh battery with 120W HyperCharge fast charging that Xiaomi says will be able to charge the device up to 100% in just 19 minutes. There’s also stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, an IR blaster, an in-display fingerprint and an IP68 dust and water resistance rating, the first Redmi Note device with that honour. You’ll find support for WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC and 5G wireless connectivity too. The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G will be available in Midnight Black, Moonlight White and Aurora Purple.
