Besides home users, Yes 5G is also offering its 5G Wireless Broadband solution to the business sector. Its Biz Wireless Broadband solution offers unlimited 5G data and Yes is giving business customers a choice of either an indoor 5G WiFi 6 router or high-power 5G outdoor CPE.
5G Wireless Broadband is a viable alternative for users who don’t have access to fibre broadband. At the moment, Malaysia’s 5G network deployed by Digital Nasional Berhad has reached 80.2% of populated areas, which makes it more accessible than ever.
According to Yes 5G, they are the first in Malaysia to offer 5G Business Wireless Broadband. As part of their introductory promo until 28th February 2024, Yes is offering 20% off for the first 2 years of the contract.
The base Yes 5G Biz Wireless Broadband Pro costs RM199/month (Promo: RM159/month) and it offers unlimited 5G data with speeds of up to 300Mbps. The plan also offers 400GB of 4G data with uncapped speed.
For businesses with greater data demand, the next option is Yes 5G Biz Wireless Broadband Enterprise which costs RM299/month (Promo: RM239/month). This plan offers unlimited 5G and 4G data with uncapped speed.
If you need Fixed IP, Yes 5G is offering that as an add-on option for RM200/month, while Dynamic IP is offered at RM100/month. According to the product page, these plans also come with technical support which operates between 8am to 11pm. Yes 5G also offers bundle purchasing at lower rates subject to a minimum quantity.
According to Yes 5G, several local businesses have adopted its Wireless Broadband solution. This includes Gigi Coffee which uses the Yes 5G Biz Wireless solution to provide in-store customer WiFi, powering their point-of-sale systems and enabling payment transactions.
Construction firm, Masteron Group, also utilises Yes 5G’s wireless broadband service to enable seamless coordination and communication between their site workers, architects, engineers and other stakeholders. The wireless connection enables their project teams to access cloud-based management tools, share files and conduct video conferencing as well as powering IoT-enabled monitoring devices on site such as cameras, safety sensors and wearables.
Meanwhile, IPC Shopping Centre is using the same wireless 5G solution for its Träffas co-working Work Pods to provide high-speed WiFi connectivity for its customers.
For more information, you can visit Yes 5G’s enterprise broadband page.
It is worth pointing out that U Mobile also offers 5G Wireless Broadband for business that’s priced at RM78/month (Promo: RM68/month). The plan has no contract with uncapped speeds and 1TB FUP. However, U Mobile’s offering doesn’t include a 5G router so you’ll have to fork out more upfront to buy your own hardware.
