Acer is starting off the new year by launching not one, not two but FOUR new monitors in Malaysia, with various options for different kinds of users, be it gamers, ultrawide lovers or even those seeking a touchscreen monitor for your office.
Acer Nitro XV272UV3
Starting with the Acer Nitro XV272UV3, this is a 27-inch, ‘Agile-Splendor’ IPS display, pushing a 2560 x 1440p resolution and up to a 180Hz refresh rate, complete with AMD FreeSync Premium support and a grey-to-grey response time of as low as 0.5ms. Despite it ostensibly being a gaming monitor, Acer does say that professional users would be able to make good use of it too, thanks to its 95% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and a Delta E<1 for uniform colours.
The Acer Nitro XV272UV3 also comes with a 100,000,000:1 contrast ratio, a max brightness of 350nits and has a pair of 2W speakers built into it. It comes with a stand that allows for some tilt and height adjustment, but there’s a 100 x 100mm VESA mount on the back too if you prefer. As for I/O, it has two HDMI 2.0 ports, an audio out port and a DisplayPort 1.2 port.
Acer Nitro XZ322QUS
If 27 inches is not big enough for you, then Acer also has the Acer Nitro XZ322QUS, a larger 32-inch gaming monitor pushing a 2560 x 1440p resolution, a refresh rate of up to 165Hz, a 1ms VRB response time and support for AMD FreeSync Premium. There’s also VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification, black boost technology, a 92% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and a HDR peak brightness of 400nits. Oh, and did I mention it’s a curved monitor with a 1500R curvature?
You’ll find a pair of 3W built in speakers too, along with two HDMI 2.0 ports, two DisplayPort 1.2a ports and audio out as well as a 100 x 100mm VESA mount on the back if you don’t feel like using the included ergostand.
Acer Nitro XZ342CUV3
For the cinematic gamers who prefer 21:9 instead of 16:9, the Acer Nitro XZ342CUV3 is perhaps more up your alley. This is a 34-inch, ultrawide VA panel pushing a 3440 x 1440p resolution with a refresh rate of up to 180Hz. It also boasts a 1ms VRB response time, support for DisplayHDR 400 and AMD FreeSync Premium as well as a peak brightness of 400nits and full coverage of the sRGB colour gamut.
On the back are two HDMI 2.0 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4 port and audio out, with a pair of 2W built in speakers and a height-adjustable stand included though you can also opt for the 100 x 100m VESA mount instead.
Acer VT270
Lastly, we have the Acer VT270, which differs from the rest in that it not only isn’t part of the Acer Nitro lineup, but is also a touchscreen monitor with support for up to 10-point touch functionality. This 27-inch IPS monitor has a 1920 by 1080p resolution with AdaptiveSync support, a refresh rate of 75Hz, a 4ms grey-to-grey response time, a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio and a max brightness of 300nits. You’ll find a VGA port, a HDMI 1.4 port, a USB-A 3.0 port, a USB-B port and audio out on the back, along with a 100 x 100mm VESA mount and a pair of built in 2W stereo speakers.
