PADU: Here’s where you can redeem your free TNG NFC card

PADU, Malaysia’s Central Database Hub is launching today and Malaysians are urged to register to ensure that their details are up to date. The database is intended to enable effective distribution of subsidies and social protection to deserving individuals and this would include targeted subsidies for fuel.

To entice users to sign up, the government has collaborated with the private sector to provide extra incentives for early bird users which include a free Enhanced Touch ‘n Go card with NFC capability.

First 3,000 PADU users to get Touch ‘n Go NFC Card and Mydin discounts

As announced last week by Minister of Economy, Rafizi Ramli, the first 3,000 PADU users will receive Touch ‘n Go NFC cards and Mydin discounts. Ahead of the launch which is happening at around noon today, The Ministry of Economy have provided more details on the Touch ‘n Go NFC card redemption which is only available at a single location today.

How to redeem free TNG NFC card for PADU registration?

According to the Ministry, the free TNG NFC card can only be redeemed at the PADU counter at Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC). The counter will only be available today (2nd January 2024) until 5pm. The cards will be distributed on a first come first served basis upon verification that you have completed your PADU registration.

Seperti yang diumum sebelum ini, 3,000 individu yang mendaftar ke dalam sistem PADU layak mendapat kad Touch n' Go NFC secara percuma.

Here’s how to be eligible to redeem the TNG NFC card

  1. Wait until PADU website goes live after the official launch by the Prime Minister (at about 12:30pm).
  2. Register your details on PADU using your own device or at the PADU counter provided outside Dewan Perdana at Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC)
  3. Show proof of PADU registration to the officer at the PADU registration counter at PICC
  4. Receive a free Touch ‘n Go NFC card, while stocks last.

At the moment, there are no details yet on the Mydin discount for early bird PADU registrations.
