New information has popped up online about Nothing’s upcoming midrange phone. According to Roland Quandt i.e @rquandt, the phone should follow the same colour schemes as Nothing’s other phones but also will be priced lower than expected.
Based on his post, the Nothing Phone 2(a) is expected to have the following features:
- 8/128GB or 12/256GB
- White or Black
It is heartening to see that Nothing will offer 12GB RAM for the top-spec Nothing 2(a), the amount of RAM that other manufacturers are putting into flagship models. This is on top of previously shared information that says the phone will use the Dimensity 7200 as the processor.
We have previously seen information saying that the phone will be priced at USD400 (about RM1,878). @rquandt now has shared that the phone will be priced at EUR 400 (about RM2,038) for the base model, based on the post shared on X, formerly known as Twitter.
As a comparison, the Nothing Phone (2) started at RM 2,999 when it was launched in Malaysia.
If we take into consideration the two price differences between the US and Euro, we can potentially see a global pricing of about $415 or about RM1,903. This is pure speculation, but the difference between the global price and the Malaysian price for Nothing (2) is about 200+ ringgit.
We are expected to see the launch of the Nothing 2(a) phone sometime in February 2024, just in time for MWC next year. We will update for more Nothing Phone 2(a) information when more appears online.
