As its name suggests it’s a tiny little desktop, with the small form factor PC coming in just a 9L case, while packing 13th Gen Intel Core processors and enterprise-grade security for businesses needing a decently powerful computer with a small footprint.

Asus ExpertCenter D8 SFF specs
Perhaps the big selling point about the ExpertCenter D8 is its tiny chassis. Coming in with a volume of just 9L, it’s actually smaller than most other well known SFF PC cases such as the 18L Cooler Master MasterBox NR200 and the 10.2L Fractal Node 202. Despite its small size, Asus does claim that the ExpertCenter D8 SFF will be a reliable machine, meeting the US MIL-STD 810H durability test, its own in-house tests as well as using 100% solid capacitors for longer life.
Inside, you’ll find a motherboard using the Intel Q670 chipset, with your choice between the 14-core Intel Core i5-13500 or the 16-core Intel Core i7-13700. The base model comes with 8GB of DDR5-4800MHz RAM while the Intel Core i7 one comes with 16GB of RAM as default, but you’ll be able to upgrade them to 32GB of RAM out of the box. Similarly, it comes with a 512GB NVMe SSD as standard, but you can configure up to a 1TB SSD and an additional 2TB hard drive when purchasing it. Then there’s also the graphics; it normally comes with Intel UHD 770 integrated graphics, but you can opt to upgrade it to an NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 if you need to. The ExpertCenter D8 SFF also comes with Windows 11 Pro out of the box.
A small PC doesn’t mean it doesn’t have a lot of I/O. In fact, the ExpertCenter D8 SFF has quite a fair bit of I/O, with four USB-A 3.2 Gen 1, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2, a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 and a 3.5mm combo audio jack just on the front panel, while at the rear there’s two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1, two USB-A 2.0, two DisplayPort, a HDMI, VGA, PS/2 keyboard, PS/2 mouse, line out, line in and mic in ports for all your accessories. Wireless connectivity meanwhile gets taken care of with WiFi 6 and Bluetooth connectivity, on top of an Ethernet port for wired connections.
Other features of note include a 180W power supply rated as 80+ Bronze, support for Intel vPro Essentials and TPM 2.0 for enterprise-grade security and a tool-less design for easy servicing and upgradability down the line.
