We know just about everything on the Samsung Galaxy S24 series slated to be launched next year. We have the full specs and even the full list of the promo images. Now thanks to Evan Blass or @evLeaks, we have the full camera specs for the whole line.
We would have shared his post showing the full image, but unfortunately, the post has been taken down due to DCMA.
Based on earlier reports, we do have the list of cameras we are getting on the three S24 models, but in this leak, we know what the highlights and the Space Zoom magnification for each phone are. The Galaxy S24 adopts the same Space Zoom moniker for the high magnification zoom that was first introduced on the Galaxy S20 series.
Samsung Galaxy S24 series cameras
The flagship of the series, the Galaxy S24, will feature a 200MP camera as its main camera. Like all previous Ultras, it will have the 100x space zoom feature, but this time with a new set of sensors on board. The combination of the new sensors plus the built-in AI computation should deliver better quality Space Zoom images when compared to the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
Not only do you get the 100x Space Zoom, but Samsung also includes four different telephoto lengths – 2x, 3x, 5x and 10x. The 2x zoom is a crop from the 200MP sensor, binned to a smaller resolution. It is unconfirmed but based on the current camera application on the Galaxy S23 Ultra, we could see the crop is from a binned 12MP image. Other cool features we can expect with the new sensor is the ISOCELL Zoom Anywhere recording mode.
The Galaxy S24 and S24+ meanwhile share the same Space Zoom and telephoto magnification – 30x, 2x and 3x. The main camera of these two models will be the same 50MP sensor that is in the current Galaxy S23 and S23+ models, but with a better Image Signal Processor (ISP).
All phones will be able to record up to 8K videos – just as well that the maximum storage size for the S24+ and S24 Ultra will be 512GB.
Samsung Unpacked 2024 in January
Blass also shared that the Samsung Unpacked event is slated to be held on 17 January. We saw a tagline of “Galaxy AI is coming” in the now taken-down post, confirming that we will be seeing more AI with the next Galaxy.
Stay tuned to SoyaCincau as more information on Samsung’s flagship is made available, and stay with us for the Galaxy Unpacked event next year.
