U Mobile has expanded its fibre broadband footprint which now covers 1.3 million households. On top of that, they have also rebranded the service to U Home Fibre (formerly known as Ultra Unlimited Home Fibre Broadband) and the base 100Mbps fibre plan is now offered for as low as RM79/month.
U Mobile offers RM20 rebate for new fibre broadband customers
With its partnership to tap into Time’s fibre infrastructure, U Mobile is now available to over 1 million more homes especially high-rise buildings along the West coast of Peninsular Malaysia. Before this, U Mobile had also signed a fibre access agreement with TNB’s Allo to kickstart its initial fibre offering.
To celebrate its new fibre footprint expansion, U Mobile is offering a RM20 monthly rebate for U Home Fibre home broadband plans for 24 months. This offer is available to new subscribers who sign up between 19 December 2023 to 31st March 2024.
U Home Fibre Pricing
U Home Fibre Broadband is available in four speed options ranging from 100Mbps to 1Gbps. Here’s the monthly subscription with the RM20 rebate promo:

At RM79/month for 100Mbps, this is one of the cheapest fibre broadband options at the moment besides City Broadband’s 100Mbps Pakej Perpaduan that’s going for RM69/month.
U Home Fibre offers symmetrical upload speeds up to 500Mbps
According to U Mobile, they are bundling a WiFi 6 router and customers will also get professional installation at no extra charges. Similar to Time’s Home Fibre plans, U Home Fibre offers symmetrical upload speeds except for its 1Gbps plan. Here’s the download and upload speeds for U Home Fibre:

- 300Mbps plan – 300Mbps download / 300Mbps upload
- 500Mbps plan – 500Mbps download / 500Mbps upload
- 1Gbps plan – 1Gbps download / 500Mbps upload
The U Home Fibre plans offer unlimited internet usage. Similar to other fibre broadband providers, there’s Fair Usage Policy (FUP) which will only be imposed on a case-by-case basis. User bandwidth is only managed for a short period if a user is detected using a disproportionate amount of bandwidth which affects the experience of others.
As usual, all fibre broadband plans are tied to a minimum contract period of 24 months. The T&C states that customers are required to pay the balance charges for the remaining months of the contract if they wish to terminate the service before the end of the contract period. Customers may upgrade their plan during the contract but they are not allowed to downgrade or perform a transfer of ownership.
