After the Nothing Phone (1) and Phone (2), the market is expecting something new from the Nothing company – and we have early leaks of the phone tentatively called Nothing Phone (2a). The glyph design will be retained, but now it is said to feature a redesigned glyph.
From the test device or Production Validation Test (PVT) that is spotted in the wild, we can expect two cameras on the back just like the Phone (2), but the camera arrangement will be different as it is now placed at the centre of phone’s back, instead of the top left like the previous models.
The camera will be a 50MP+50MP unit on the back and 16MP for selfies, along with a 67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage and running Nothing OS2.5 based on Android 14. As previously mentioned, the processor is the mid-range Dimensity 7200.
The features may not be final as the phone is still in the testing period, as the phone seen in the leaked information only has 1,000mAh of battery. So we won’t know how much battery the Phone (2a) will have until more information is shared online.
The source said that the phone is expected to be launched during MWC 2024, which will be happening in February 2024. The expected price is also shared – which the source said will be $400 (about RM1,878). As a comparison, the Nothing Phone (1) launched in Malaysia with a price starting from RM2,399 while the Nothing Phone (2) launched from RM2,999.
