iQoo 12 specs

The iQoo 12 features a large 6.78-inch AMOLED display, pushing a 2800 x 1260p resolution for a pixel density of 452ppi. It is also capable of a 144Hz refresh rate, a peak peak brightness of 1400nits and a local peak brightness of 3000nits, as well as 2160Hz PWM dimming for less fatigue on the eyes. Available in Legend and Alpha colour options, the former gets you an enameled glass finish on the back in white with the signature BMW M Motorsport tricolour stripes, while the latter comes with a black fluorite AG glass finish instead.

Under the hood is of course the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, making the iQoo 12 the first smartphone powered by it to be available officially in Malaysia. That gets mated to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS4.0 storage, running Android 14 out of the box skinned with FuntouchOS 14 over it. Complementing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 though is also the iQoo Q1, an additional processor that works to boost frame rates in games up to 144fps and making full use of its display. All of that gets kept cool by a vapor chamber that’s 40% larger compared to its predecessor.

On the back, the iQoo 12 has a rounded camera island dubbed the ‘Porthole Design’, inspired by the portholes found on the spaceships that astronauts look through to see the depths of space. It houses a main 50MP, f/1.68 camera using a 1/1.3″ sensor alongside a 50MP, f/2.0 ultrawide and a 64MP, f/2.57 periscope telephoto camera that offers a 3x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom. In front meanwhile you’ll find a 16MP, f/2.45 selfie shooter.

Other features of note include a 5,000mAh battery with 120W FlashCharge fast charging that iQoo says can fully charge to 100% in just 27 minutes, with the battery itself able to maintain an over 80% battery capacity even after 1,600 complete charging cycles. There’s also symmetrical stereo speakers on the top and bottom of the iQoo 12, an in-display fingerprint sensor, an IR blaster as well as support for WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC and 5G wireless connectivity.
