Samsung is scheduled to launch its 2024 flagship sometime in January (which is next month), but thanks to Windows Report, we have the full look at how the Samsung Galaxy S24 series will look like as well as what kind of specifications the phone will have for the markets it will be heading to next year.
Samsung Galaxy S24 series design
There will be three models as usual – the Samsung Galaxy S24, S24+ and the range-topper S24 Ultra. The two base models are reported to come in four different colours: Amber Yellow, Cobalt Violet, Marble Grey, and Onyx Black. It looks like Samsung will not include a green hue for next year’s selection of colours.
Meanwhile, the S24 Ultra is said to be clad in Titanium, like another phone that was recently launched. So, the colours for the Ultra line will be a bit different – Titanium Black, Titanium Gray, Titanium Violet, and Titanium Yellow.
From the renders and images, the S24 and S24+ is set to have a very symmetrical look with thin bezels around the screen. The S24 Ultra meanwhile will have a very squared-off look, even more square than the S23 Ultra. One nice design note that Samsung is bringing back is the colour-matched S-pen for the Ultra model.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra specifications
Based on the report from Windows Report, the bump in specifications for the phones is incremental across the board. Take for example the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.
Out of the box, we can expect the phone to feature:
For the display, Samsung is said to feature a flatter screen when compared to the S23 Ultra. This is based on earlier leaked photos of the phone, where the front screen seems to have lost the curves compared to its predecessor. Other interesting features we can look out for include a 1.9 times larger vapour chamber in the S24 Ultra vs the S23 Ultra, WiFi 7, and 45W fast charging.
The biggest feature Samsung will be pushing with the S24 Ultra is built-in AI. Thanks to the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, we can foresee much of the AI processing will be done on the phone. Another cool feature that we can expect with the Samsung S24 Ultra is the ISOCELL Zoom Anyplace feature.
Samsung Galaxy S24 and S24+ specifications
The base S24 series models are also set to see some updates in the looks department – in particular smaller bezels around the main screen. We can expect the phones to have the following specs when it is launched next year:
It is unsure if the base S24 models will have any AI magic sprinkled on, but based on the specifications above, there should be no problem for some if not all of the AI magic to happen on the phone.
Some of the specifications are still unconfirmed – we are way too early for the official launch event after all – but we can expect the specs to be more or less what is listed above. We will have to wait for the official Samsung Unpacked event to happen before we get to the confirmed features list of Samsung’s 2024 flagship.
