Paradigm Mall Petaling Jaya has announced that it now has ten brand-new EV chargers in its mall. This brings the total EV charge points at the location to 12, in addition to the existing two 3.7kW AC charge points deployed by ChargEV.
The 10 AC charge points are located at Basement 1 carpark in the Yellow zone between Pillar J20 and J22. Four of them are three-phase 22kW charge points while the remaining six are single-phase 7kW charge points.
If you’re driving an EV with a single-phase onboard charger like the BYD Dolphin, Atto 3 or Ora Good Cat, you should be able to get the maximum possible AC charging speed with these units.
In terms of pricing, the 22kW AC charge points cost RM0.18 per minute (RM10.80 per hour) while the 7kW AC charge points are priced at RM0.13 per minute (RM7.80 per hour). The chargers are deployed by Gentari and you can activate them via Setel and JomCharge. You can enjoy 50% off on these chargers if you’re subscribed to Gentari’s annual membership plan.
WCT Holdings which manages Paradigm Malls in Petaling Jaya and Johor Bahru as well as Aeon Bukit Tinggi and gateway@klia2, is aiming to deploy an additional 38 EV charging stations across its premises. A few weeks ago, Gentari announced that it had deployed 6 EV charge points at Paradigm Mall Johor Bahru with 3x 22kW and 3x 7kW points.
For EV drivers who need a quick top-up around the area, you can head to Gentari’s charging hub at XPark Sunway Serene which has 350kW and 180kW DC Chargers. The 350kW DC Charger is priced at RM1.70 per kWh while the 180kW DC Charger is priced at RM1.50 per kWh.
