If you’re looking for a new entry-level smartphone for yourself or perhaps your child, then the new Blade A54 from ZTE may be up your alley. Priced at less than RM400, it still offers a fair amount of the features you’d want and expect such as a USB-C port, a fingerprint scanner and 128GB of storage.
ZTE Blade A54 Malaysia pricing and availability
Available for purchase from now onwards, the ZTE Blade A54 will come in just a single configuration with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage priced at RM369. You’ll be able to find it on sale from the official ZTE Malaysia store on Lazada and Shopee.
ZTE Blade A54 specs
Considering that it’s very much an entry level smartphone, it’s no surprise to see that it’s powered by the older Unisoc T606 system-on-chip. That gets mated to 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, which is quite decent though for its price. It’s said to come with Android T which we can only deduce to be Android 13 skinned with MyOS 13 over it out of the box, and we’d be somewhat amazed if it does get updated to Android 14.
As for its display, the ZTE Blade A54 comes with a 6.6-inch, LCD display pushing an LCD+ resolution. There’s a teardrop notch on top housing a front facing camera believed to be a 2MP shooter, while on the back you’ll find a 13MP main camera with a secondary auxiliary sensor alongside it. Keeping the lights on meanwhile is a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging via USB-C and not microUSB which is again nice to see.
Other features of note include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm audio jack and support for dual 4G LTE SIM cards as well as an additional microSD card slot.
