Celcom customers in Pahang and Terengganu may experience some disruptions using the telco’s services today including voice calls, SMS, and Internet. This is due to a fire incident that happened this morning that has affected its network in several parts of both states.

However, Celcom did not reveal the cause and the exact location of the incident. Nevertheless, it has a major impact on the telco’s network especially in Pahang despite being described as a “small” fire.

Areas affected by Celcom’s fire incident

The telco has since published the list of areas affected by the fire on its official website as well as Facebook and X (formerly known as Twitter). Most of the locations mentioned in the list are in Pahang, as per below:

The recovery timeline is still unknown

At the moment, it is still not yet known when exactly Celcom’s services will be able to return to normal in these areas. There hasn’t been any update from the telco so far since the initial announcement at around 9:30 AM this morning.

We are currently monitoring the situation and as always, we will keep you updated once we hear more from Celcom. So, stay tuned.
