After years of waiting, Yes is finally an official Apple telco partner in Malaysia. Besides being able to offer the latest iPhone models on contract, iPhone devices on Yes 5G can now get the full iPhone experience which includes VoLTE, WiFi Calling, FaceTime over Mobile and Personal Hotspot.
As teased earlier, consumers can get the iPhone 15 from as low as RM21/month and the iPhone 15 Pro series from RM51/month on a Yes 5G Infinite+ Postpaid bundle.
Yes offers 0% interest instalment up to 36 months with RM0 upfront payment
Yes 5G claims to offer Malaysia’s most affordable iPhone plans in town with the lowest total cost of ownership. Besides offering lower monthly instalments of either 24 or 36 months with 0% interest, Yes 5G also offers RM0 upfront payment even for customers who are not currently subscribed to Yes 5G.
Typically, most telcos rely on existing payment history to determine if a customer is eligible for the upfront payment waiver and it is often limited to existing postpaid users. According to Yes 5G, they are able to extend the RM0 upfront benefit to new customers by conducting their own credit checks during sign-up.
Unlike most telcos which require users to sign up with higher monthly commitment postpaid plans (at least RM98 and above), Yes 5G is allowing customers to pick up a brand new iPhone 15 on their cheapest Yes Infinite postpaid plan which starts from as low as RM58/month.
The plan offers unlimited 5G data with no Fair Usage Policy (FUP) restrictions and customers can enjoy uncapped speeds and uncapped data. Yes 5G is proud to highlight that its customers can enjoy 5G on Digital Nasional Berhad’s network with no extra fees or “boosters” required.
Yes 5G currently offers four Infinite Postpaid options which all come with unlimited 5G and 4G data as well as unlimited calls. The only difference between the options is the amount of hotspot data included. The Infinite Basic at RM58/month comes with 20GB hotspot, followed by the Standard plan at RM88/month with 50GB hotspot, Premium at RM118/month with 80GB hotspot and Ultra at RM178/month with 110GB of hotspot.
iPhone 15 monthly instalments on Yes 5G
Yes 5G offers the full range of iPhone 15 options on its Yes Infinite+ plans. The lowest total cost of ownership is the base iPhone 15 128GB (RRP: RM4,399) which can be yours for only RM165/month on a 24-month contract of Infinite Basic 58 (RM58/month). In total, this device instalment programme costs RM5,352 over two years.
Meanwhile, the iPhone 15 Plus 128GB (RRP: RM4,899) can be yours for RM184/month on a 24-month contract of Infinite Basic 58 (RM58/month). In total, you’ll be paying RM5,808 over a period of two years.
Of course, the lowest monthly instalment is the plan with the most expensive postpaid option. The advertised RM21/month is for the iPhone 15 128GB on a 36-month contract of Infinite Ultra 178. However, in total, you’ll be paying RM7,164 over a period of 3 years. That’s quite a high cost to pay and it is only worth considering if you really need to use more than 100GB of hotspot per month.
For most users, the base Infinite Basic 58 is more than good enough for most users as you can get unlimited 5G and 4G data on the device and there’s 20GB of hotspot data.
iPhone 15 Pro monthly instalments on Yes 5G
If you’re looking for the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, the lowest total cost of ownership is also the 24-month option with Basic 58. The iPhone 15 Pro 128GB (RRP: RM5,499) can be yours for RM207/month on a 24-month contract of Basic 58 (RM58/month). This calculates to RM6,360 over a two-year duration.
Meanwhile, the iPhone 15 Pro Max 256GB (RRP: RM6,499) is going for RM245/month on a 24-month contract of Basic 58 (RM58/month) and the total cost over two years is RM7,272.
