Huawei Watch GT 4 specs
Huawei is pushing for the Watch GT 4 to be more of a fashion accessory than just a smartwatch, and it shows with their new wearables getting a fresh look compared to the more plain looking Watch GT 3. In particular, the larger 46mm Watch GT 4 now has an octagonal look to its body, with the chassis itself made of stainless steel. In the middle meanwhile is a 1.43-inch circular AMOLED display, pushing a 466 x 466p resolution for a 326ppi pixel density. It comes with four different strap options, namely a steel grey bracelet, a green cloth strap, a brown leather strap or a black rubber strap.
As for the smaller 41mm Watch GT 4, it has a uniform circular chassis with a smaller 1.32-inch AMOLED display, with the same 466 x 466p resolution resulting in a higher pixel density of 352ppi. It comes with its own silver bracelet option, a white leather one, or a rubber black one. It has a smaller battery life than its larger brother, with a 7-day maximum battery life, which goes down to 4 days under regular use or 2 days if you have always-on display on. The larger 46mm Watch GT 4 meanwhile can survive up to 14 days of use, going down to 8 days under regular use and 4 days with always-on display.
Regardless of which size you opt for, the Watch GT 4 comes with a slew of features to track your health and fitness. For instance, there’s the new Huawei TruSeen 5.5 which can track your heart rate, blood oxygen levels, sleep and stress levels too. TruSleep 3.0 meanwhile builds on that by measuring the quality of your sleep, with women also able to make use of the menstrual tracker on the Watch GT 4. It’s also able to track over 100 different activity modes from walking and running to biking and even swimming thanks to its 5 ATM water resistance.
Other features of note include GPS and navigation functionality, as well as speakers that you can use to play music directly off the Watch GT 4 or to answer calls on the device too. It can be connected to not just Huawei devices but also Android and iOS smartphones, with the only app you need being the Huawei Health app. The display also comes with widgets allowing you to easily track not just the time but also access your calendar and reply texts to others.
