TNB Electron is expanding its EV charging network in Peninsular Malaysia with the deployment of new DC and AC chargers over the next two years. In addition to the six new EV charging locations identified for 2023, TNB Electron has revealed that it will roll out a total of 37 DC fast chargers and 29 AC chargers in 2024 and 2025.

TNB Electron has shown a map of its planned EV charging locations for the next two years at IEMS 2023 which is currently happening at KL Convention Centre. Most of the new chargers are located in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur, predominantly in TNB’s own premises such as TNB yards, TNB PSD Building, TNB G Spark, and TNB Dua Sentral.

Besides the central region, TNB Electron is also expanding its EV charging network to cover other states, especially the east coast. The planned new DC charging locations include six in Kelantan, 3 in Terengganu, 3 in Pahang, 3 in Kedah, 3 in Perak, 2 in Pulau Pinang and 2 in Johor.

To find and activate TNB Electron chargers, you’ll need to download the Go To-U app which is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Their DC chargers are priced based on per-minute usage and it ranges from RM2.05 per minute (80kW) to RM2.35 per minute (100kW), depending on the charging rate.
