After the launch in China, and confirming the global availability, Oppo Malaysia just verified that they will be selling the Find N3 Flip in the coming months. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 competitor has some tricks up its sleeve to make it stand out in the market.
What is the Oppo Malaysia Find N3 Flip?
As a recap, the phone is an upgrade to the Find N2 Flip, with some big updates and upgrades, both on and under the skin of the device. The phone is a flip-style foldable, with a folding screen on the inside and a big screen on the outside.
The dimensions of the phone are similar to last year’s model so it should fit in any jeans pocket or purse with ease. The Find N2 Flip is 168mm long when opened, 85.5mm when folded, only 7.45mm thick when open and is about 16mm thick when closed.
Better cameras this year?
Looks like we are getting a triple camera setup, a first in a flip form factor. The telephoto camera features a 32MP sensor and a 47mm-equivalent f/2.0 lens that provides 2x optical zoom. It joins what appears to be an unchanged 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture, although it does gain optical image stabilisation.
The ultra-wide, on the other hand, sees a useful boost in resolution to 48MP, up from just 8MP before; it has an f/2.2 aperture.
Like before, Oppo is partnering with Hasselblad to inject some professional-grade colour science and image processing.
What else?
Oppo will be sticking to the same vertical 3.26-inch AMOLED display as the Find N2 Flip, while the inner screen is the same 6.8-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 1 to 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, with a brightness up to 1,200 nits, and a peak brightness of 1,600 nits. For the cover screen, the brightness only has a peak brightness of 900 nits, which is dimmer than the Z Flip 5.
The battery capacity remains the same at 4,300mAh and the SuperVOOC charging for the phone will be the same as the previous model at 44W.
Inside is the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 chipset, the same chip used in the Vivo X90 and the Oppo Find X6. It is expected to provide better battery life and new features such as WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3. Additionally, the Find N3 Flip features an alert slider that previously was a OnePlus trademark.
We are expecting to see two different storage options – 256GB and 512GB. Both options will see 12GB of RAM, which is higher than the 8GB of the Find N2 Flip.
Sadly, there is no microSD expansion option. For those with multiple numbers, the Find N3 Flip supports up to two nano SIMs at once.
How Much?
No pricing has been hinted at by Oppo as of yet, but we should be getting information on how much the phone will be priced in Malaysia soon. As a reminder, the Find N2 Flip arrived in Malaysia with a price tag of RM 3,999.
