DJI has just announced the new DJI Mini 4 Pro in Malaysia, the company’s new all-in-one aerial photo and video solution. The new compact drone has more features packed into its tiny body than ever before.
The drone is an upgrade of the previous model, the DJI Mini 3 Pro – but maintains the same lightweight nature and battery life of the previous model
DJI Mini 4 Pro Malaysia Availability and Pricing
The new drone is available in a few packages in Malaysia:
- Mini 4 Pro with N2 remote controller – RM 3,399

DJI Mini 4 Pro Malaysia Specs and features
The new drone is lightweight – just 249 grams. That is still below the mandated 250-gram weight rule before the FAA requires the drone operator to register their drones. Otherwise, the DJI Mini 4 Pro is the same weight as the previous model, but with an obvious upgrade to features and functions.
For one, you get better obstacle sending thanks to the updated omnidirectional obstacle sensing. It uses multiple wide-angle and downward vision sensors to detect obstructions from all directions. Some of the features include automatic braking and obstacle bypass features, which help to elevate in-flight security. All of this is enhanced by the Advanced Pilot Assistance Systems (APAS).
The runtime of the drone is 34 minutes – the same as the Mini 3 Pro, but the extended flight time is now 45 minutes using the Intelligent Flight Battery Plus – this is two minutes less than the previous model. The DJI flagship O4 video transmission system meanwhile gives operators responsive controls and smooth 1080p/60fps videos up to 20KM from where the operator is standing. That is quite a distance indeed.
At the centre of the drone (well, the front at least) is a 48-megapixel 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor with a new image processing system. Paired with that sensor is a wide 24mm equivalent f/1.7 lens. Not only can capture 48-megapixel images, but you also can capture 4K/60p HDR videos. Other modes include slow-motion video, which you can capture in 4K up to 100 frames per second. For social media, there is a vertical video mode as well.
Videos captured with the drone can be saved in 10-bit D-Log M video, great for post-processing colour grading.
To help with shooting efficiency, DJI’s Waypoint Flight’s automatic route function works together with Cruise control to ensure the operator does now feel fatigued when flying the Mini 4 Pro. Plus, if anything is to happen during the flight, the Advanced Return-to-Home system automatically navigates a safe flight route back, with added control during return flights through the AR RTH feature.
Other new features include new capture modes for more dynamic-looking videos. Spotlight, Point of Interest and Active Track 360 shooting modes allow smoother and more stable tracking thanks to omnidirectional obstacle sensing. There are also the MasterShots, QuickShots, and Hyperlapse modes to record videos with diverse angles and dynamic movement. The Mini 4 Pro also has a panorama mode that can shoot 180° panoramas and even spherical panorama photos.
