Over the weekend, the first render of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 FE was leaked and it provides a clearer picture of what the next FE smartphone will look like.
MSPowerUser obtained the render from a trusted source, and we can see that Samsung is basically adapting the mainline Galaxy S23 design to the FE model. The camera modules on the back look very similar to the standard S23, and the rounded corners were carried over too.
On the front, the screen looks reminiscent of the S23 again – reports have the screen measuring 6.4 inches and using a Dynamic AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate.
There are conflicting reports on the SoC powering the phone. Sammobile says that Samsung will fit the Exynos 2200 into the heart of the phone, while Android Police says Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is the SoC of choice. For storage, the reports speculate we will see up to 256GB of storage, without SD card support and a 4,500mAh Li-Ion battery.
The cameras on the back will be a true triple set-up, with a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP telephoto sensor, and an 8MP ultrawide sensor – no silly triple setup with macro or depth sensor cameras.. You will take selfies from the punch-hole sensor on the front with a 10MP camera.
From the render, we can see five colours will be available to choose from – Phantom Black, Cream, Green, Lavender, Graphite, and Lime.
Samsung may be releasing the phone sometime by the end of Q3 or early Q4 – so possible that we will see the launch to be as early as the end of the month or early October. No pricing has been speculated online as of yet. There are no hints of a Malaysia launch, but we did see the Galaxy S21 FE launched in Malaysia.
