Less than a month after launching the Realme 11 5G in Malaysia, the Chinese company has now launched its little sibling to our shores, the Realme 11x 5G. While it shares some similarities with the former, the Realme 11x 5G has been downgraded a little bit, though that has made it come with a notably cheaper price tag too.
Realme 11x 5G Malaysia pricing and availability
The Realme 11x 5G is technically priced at RM999, for the single configuration with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. We say technically, because it’s not on sale at any of Realme’s official stores or their retail partners nationwide.
Instead, you’ll be able to buy the Realme 11x 5G from their telco partner U Mobile. The telco is offering the Realme 11x 5G bundled along with two different postpaid plan options, with each plan also available with two contract lengths. Here’s how much the smartphone itself will cost depending on the postpaid plan and the length of contract:
- U Postpaid 98, 24-month contract – RM0
- U Postpaid 98, 12-month contract – RM349
- U Postpaid 68, 24-month contract – RM239
- U Postpaid 68, 12-month contract – RM439
Those of you interested can head over to your local U Mobile store or the U Mobile website. It’s also worth noting that you will also need to pay a one month plan downpayment along with the price of your Realme 11x 5G when you sign up for it.
Realme 11x 5G specs
As mentioned earlier, the Realme 11x 5G does share some similarities with the Realme 11 5G that debuted last month. For starters, they share a similarly sized 6.72-inch, FHD+ LCD display that’s capable of a peak brightness of 680nits and a refresh rate of 120Hz.
Also similar to the Realme 11 5G is the processor under the hood. The Realme 11x 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ system-on-chip, a 6nm 5G-capable processor. However, it gets mated to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of storage, rather than the 256GB of storage its stablemate has; the Realme 11x 5G does support external storage up to 2TB though. It comes with Android 13 out of the box, skinned with Realme UI 4.0
Flip the Realme 11x 5G around meanwhile you’ll find a 64MP, f/1.79 main camera alongside a 2MP, f/2.4 portrait sensor housed in a large, raised circular camera bump. In front meanwhile is an 8MP, f/2.05 selfie camera. Keeping the lights on is a 5,000mAh battery with support for SuperVOOC 33W fast charging via USB-C. Other features of note include a 3.5mm audio jack and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
