Huawei’s latest smartwatch was just announced at the “Wearable Strategy and New Product Launch” event in Barcelona, Spain a few hours ago, there, the brand revealed the next generation of the GT series smart watch, the Huawei Watch GT 4. Like the previous generation launched in 2019, there are two sizes available, but this year – the design has a more fashion pivot than usual.
“Huawei’s remarkable achievements have only been made possible through our collaborative efforts with industry experts and universities that have brought forth innovative solutions for our smartwatches” said Zhang Wei, CEO of Huawei Health Team, President of Smart Wearable and Health Product Line, Huawei Consumer Business Group.
Consumers can choose from two sizes for the flagship smartwatch – a 46mm case and new for this year, a 41mm case. The latter uses a pendant body design while the former retains the octagonal case from the Watch GT 3. Both come in multiple body and strap options as well as different case colours.
Some of the features that are included in the Watch GT 4 are round-the-clock health monitoring, women’s menstrual and ovulation intelligence prediction, sleep monitoring, sleep breathing monitoring, activity ring tracker, 200+ fitness courses (for free) and more.
Paired with the health tracking is a slew of sensors to track, monitor and sense all the body functions. The watch supports five different positioning systems – QZSS, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and Beidou. New Sunflower GPS technology delivers better positioning data via beamforming – giving users better tracking solutions for runs, walks, and hikes.
