Action camera and GoPro fans rejoice – the new GoPro Hero12 Black is officially launched in Malaysia and can be purchased with your hard-earned money for your next adventure. We are also getting the Max Lens Mod 2.0 and a special edition pack here.
GoPro Hero12 Black Malaysia Pricing
The GoPro Hero12 Black will be available from 13 September onwards for RM 1,999 from selected retailers around Malaysia. In the box, you will get:
- The GoPro Hero12 Black camera
- Battery
- Quick-release mount
- Charging cable
- Thumbscrew.
The Max Lens Mod 2.0 will be on sale at the same time for RM 519.
Also going on sale is the HERO12 Black Creator Edition, priced at RM 2,799. You will get everything in the standard kit plus:
- Cage
- LED light
- External microphone
- Compact tripod with wired controls
GoPro Hero12 Black: Refinement, not an evolution
As a recap, the Hero12 Black features the same 1/1.9-inch type sensor as the previous Hero11 Black, which gives it the flexibility to capture in multiple formats. This time around GoPro includes capturing vertical 9:16 videos, which is perfect for social media.
It also comes with Hypersmooth 6.0, GoPro’s in-camera and software stabilization magic to rough out your unstable video into smooth-as-butter footage.
The Hero12 Black comes with two screens – the 2.27-inch touchscreen at the back for controls and playback, and a 1.4-inch screen at the front for composition and monitoring of your video.
There is also support for the new Max Lens Mod 2.0, an updated lens attachment for the camera. It now has a 177-degree field-of-view for a wider perspective for your videos.
Something new this time around is the Bluetooth audio support – pair your AirPods or any other Bluetooth audio device to the Hero12 Black, monitor your audio levels or even use the earbud’s microphone for narrating your POV videos.
The battery is also longer lasting, with up to 70 minutes of 5.3K video recording or over 2 hours of 1080p video – you can record more with a single charge.
Lastly, GoPro elected to include a standard tripod mount thread, so you can use the camera with your standard tripod, or any ¼-inch screw accessories.
Also introduced is a new extension pole which includes a removable remote trigger accessory, that can be extended to 1.2 meters long. The remote trigger is waterproof, wearable and connects via Bluetooth to the camera. The remote will be compatible with: HERO12 Black, HERO11 Black, HERO11 Black Mini and HERO10 Black.
