Toshiba’s latest generation of TVs has just landed here in Malaysia, and the free gifts with each purchase are worth mentioning. Not one, but three new flagship models are available to purchase by Malaysian consumers.
The three models are the Toshiba Z870M, Z670M and M550M. All feature Quantum Dot technology to deliver high-end colour reproduction, Mini-LED backlight for high contrast and brightness for images on screen, as well as Full Array Local Dimming to enable dynamically adjusted backlight zones. Other notable features on the three models include Dolby Vision HDR, HDR10+, and HLG.
Toshiba Z870M
The Z870M includes some features that gamers may know – the panel has a native refresh rate of 144Hz and is equipped with AMD FreeSync technology to deliver smooth gaming at high framerates. The REGZA Engine ZRi meanwhile incorporates algorithms to optimise audio-visuals according to the viewed content and surrounding environment.
For audio, Toshiba included the REGZA Bass Woofer PRO with Tru Bass Booster along with a front-firing speaker set for enhanced audio. It also supports Dolby Atmos for a bit more immersive audio experience. Lastly, the Z870M includes Smart Sharing to stream any content using Apple devices, using the Apple HomeKit tech.
Toshiba Z670M
The Z670M meanwhile copies most of the features of the Z870M, but with a bit more gamer-centric focus. For one, the TV includes AMD FreeSync Premium, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) at 144Hz, and Auto LowLatency Mode (ALLM) for smooth and quick-response gameplay when used with the Game Mode Pro. It also features Dolby Vision Gaming to ensure visuals on screen are dynamic and engaging.
Toshiba M550M
Visual clarity is the focus of the M550M. The REGZA Engine ZR, equipped with AI Upscaling, helps to optimise the visuals being played on the screen automatically. The REGZA Power Audio PRO and Tru Bass Booster help to elevate the audio experience when paired with the Quantum Dot technology for some wicked-looking visuals.
You get Smart TV functions out of the box, including both Google TV and Apple AirPlay with the M550M.
