A social media post has claimed that Tesla’s first showroom in Malaysia will be opened in Kuala Lumpur very soon. Not only that, the post has also included a picture of the showroom currently under construction.
According to X user Kevin013821, the Tesla showroom is located at Pavilion Damansara Heights Mall. The post also claimed that the showroom will be opened to the public this coming October.
That is an interesting claim indeed since the Pavilion Damansara Heights Mall itself will officially open its doors on 8 October. As the image did not show the interior section of the showroom, it is hard to gauge whether the showroom will be ready for the October opening.
Pavilion is one of several prominent property developers that have signed a deal with Tesla for Supercharger deployment. In addition to that, Pavilion KL is not only the venue for the Malaysian debut of Model Y but it is currently still hosting a pop-up showroom for the new EV until the end of October.
Of course, let’s not forget that Pavilion KL is also the first Supercharger location in Malaysia. Having the first Tesla showroom in Malaysia in Pavilion Damansara Heights Mall seemed to signify the level of relationship that Pavilion has with Tesla.
As exciting as this news might be, this location has yet to appear on the Find Us section of Tesla’s website though. Hence, we are now reaching out to Tesla representatives for further clarification, so stay tuned.
