In conjunction with Malaysia’s 66th Merdeka celebration, Go To-U Malaysia is offering a huge discount for its DC Fast Chargers at Rekascape in Cyberjaya. Typically priced at a hefty RM1.60 per kWh, these chargers can be used for only RM0.66 per kWh, which is almost 60% off the normal rate.
Prior to this, Go To-U had announced a Merdeka promo of RM1.20 per kWh from 26th August until 31st August. Take note that this new RM0.66 per kWh promo is only valid for today, 31st August 2023.
The Go To-U Charging Hub at Cyberjaya is located at Rekascape which is near Dell Global Business Centre building. To activate these chargers, you’ll have to use the Go To-U app which is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The same app can also be used to activate TNB Electron EV chargers along interstate highways.
This particular charging hub has two 60kW StarCharge DC Chargers with two nozzles each. Depending on the configuration, it can charge a single EV at up to 60kW or two EVs at 30kW each. One benefit of Go To-U’s app is you can book your charging slot up to 7 days in advance so you don’t have to wait when the charging hub is full.
With this RM0.66 per kWh rate, getting an extra 50% charge (30kWh) for the BYD Atto 3 or BYD Dolphin Extended range (60.5kWh battery) would only cost RM19.80, versus RM48.00 with the normal RM1.60 per kWh rate. If you’re driving your EV to watch the National Day parade at Putrajaya, this is a cheap DC fast charging spot for a quick top-up before heading home.
