There is now a good reason for Setel users to utilise the CardTerus feature with their Maybank Petronas Visa cards. Starting this September, they will receive the same amount of TreatPoints or cashback with the app as well.
In case you are not familiar with Setel’s CardTerus feature, it essentially allows users to link debit and credit cards with their Setel account. This way, they can perform Setel transactions by using the card directly instead of constantly needing to top-up the funds inside the app’s built-in wallet.
One of the main perks for the Maybank Petronas Visa Platinum and Visa Gold card holders is that they can obtain up to 8x TreatPoints when they use their cards at Petronas station during weekends. During weekdays, they would receive up to 5x TreatPoints instead.
As for Maybank Islamic Petronas Ikhwan Visa Platinum and Visa Gold Card-I customers, they can get up to 8% cashback on weekends and 5% during weekdays. However, do note that there is a limit of RM50 cashback per month.
With the new implementation, Setel users with any of these Maybank Petronas Visa credit cards can enjoy the same perks even when they pay for their fuel using the app. Not to forget, they would also get the Mesra reward points at the same time.
To link your debit or credit card to your Setel account, you can do so by choosing the Payment methods option inside the Profile section of the app. From there, tap the Add New Card on the lower part of the screen, enter your card details, and complete the verification process.
