YTL Communications has unveiled its Pakej 5G Rahmah plans and they are offering an even more affordable postpaid option which only costs RM35/month. Despite the lower monthly commitment, Yes 5G is also offering 5G devices for only RM240 on a two-year contract.
To recap, the Pakej 5G Rahmah which was announced by the Ministry of Communications and Digital aims to provide 60GB of data for RM60/month. Users can get a 5G device for RM240 on a 2-year contract and it is covered by a 2-year warranty. Meanwhile, the first eligible 100,000 B40 users are able to redeem an RM120 subsidy which will enable them to get a 5G phone for only RM120.
As mentioned by Fahmi Fadzil this morning, the 60GB for RM60/month pricing is only a baseline and telcos are encouraged to offer better deals for their postpaid and phone bundle.
Yes has responded by offering a 5G phone bundle with its competitive Yes Power 35 plan which offers 100GB of 5G+4G data with uncapped speeds and unlimited calls for RM35/month. Customers under the B40 category can enjoy RM120 subsidy for the 5G device.
If you want better phones such as the Samsung Galaxy A14 5G, Honor 90 Lite 5G, Redmi 12 5G and Oppo A78 5G, there are the RM58/month Yes Infinite+ postpaid and device bundle options. These devices are offered from as low as RM100 on a contract and you can enjoy more savings if you’re eligible for the RM120 B40 subsidy. The RM58/month postpaid plan offers unlimited 5G data with uncapped speeds, 20GB hotspot and unlimited calls.
