Besides announcing the Pakej 5G Rahmah postpaid and 5G phone bundle, Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil has also announced a telco incentive for civil servants. As teased early this month, eligible civil servants will be able to enjoy a RM10 rebate for their monthly postpaid bills for a period of 12 months.
The RM10 x 12 month rebate incentive is offered to civil servants who are subscribed to a postpaid plan of at least RM60 per month. It is applicable to new postpaid plan subscriptions or for those who have an existing postpaid plan of at least RM60 per month and are not tied to a contract.
The Rahmah incentive is open to all civil servants in Malaysia under Federal, State and local government authorities. To enjoy this rebate, eligible customers can contact their respective telcos for more information or subscribe to a new postpaid plan at the respective telco sales channels or on-ground promotional activities at selected locations. Each customer is only entitled to a one-time incentive which provides an accumulative subsidy of RM120 per year. The Rahmah incentive for civil servants will be available from 16th September until 31st December 2023.
The civil servant incentive is subject to the respective terms and conditions of the participating telcos which include CelcomDigi, Maxis, U Mobile, Telekom Malaysia (Unifi Mobile) and YTL Communications (Yes 5G). The incentive is not applicable to any group or enterprise package that already has an ongoing rebate or discount.
