If you’re a football fan who follows either Arsenal or Liverpool, you now have a new reason to get yourself a Pixel smartphone. Google has announced that they’re now the official mobile phone partner of both Arsenal and Liverpool, signing a multi-year partnership deal with both clubs.
According to Google, they will be working with the men’s and women’s senior teams of both clubs. In particular, they will leverage the Pixel’s leading AI-powered camera and its suite of features to create exclusive content for the clubs. This will include ‘deeper, tech-driven experiences’ with the Pixel to improve fans’ experiences at Anfield, the Emirates Stadium, Meadow Park and Prenton Park, as well as those of you watching from your living room.

They’ll also be working to elevate women’s football, helping Liverpool launch their first dedicated women’s football show on YouTube as well as posting exclusive pitchside footage of Arsenal’s Women’s Super League matches on top of the men’s Premier League games.

Google adds that this is just the latest effort in their efforts to expand their role within football, building upon the partnership they already have with the English Football Association.
“We are incredibly proud to be announcing this partnership between Liverpool FC and Google Pixel. At LFC, it is important to us that we are not only partnering with the biggest and most exciting brands, but that the brands we are partnering with allow us to offer something of real value to our supporters,” – Ben Latty, Liverpool FC Commercial Director
“Our priority is to put our supporters at the heart of everything we do and we’re extremely pleased to announce this exciting partnership with Google Pixel that will help us achieve this. This is a first for us and will bring supporters much closer to the action through high-quality content,” – Juliet Slot, Arsenal FC Chief Commercial Officer
While officially speaking Google doesn’t sell their Pixel smartphones in Malaysia, the number of Pixel users here is slowly on the rise, thanks in part to it being available in our friendly neighbour Singapore as well as grey importers. On top of its reputation for stellar mobile photography, its also not too expensive, especially compared to other flagship Android smartphones around, with the Pixel 7A starting at USD499 (~RM2,288.16) and the Pixel 7 itself starting at USD599 (~RM2,746.71).
