Xiaomi is actually one of the major players in the foldable smartphone scene, with their foldables considered among the best in China where they’re being sold. With Samsung having launched their Galaxy Z Fold 5 recently, the Chinese giant is now set to reply with its own upcoming Xiaomi Mix Fold 3.
According to teasers posted by Xiaomi and their CEO Lei Jun, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 is set to debut on 14 August, Monday at 7pm local time. You’ll be able to watch it for yourself, with Xiaomi streaming the keynote live on their website.

It may not be out yet, but Lei Jun is already talking up the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3, teasing not only how slim, premium and lightweight is is, but also the lack of any shortcomings on the device altogether. On Weibo meanwhile, Lei Jun added that the Mix Fold 3 required their engineers to revamp its design, which could hint at a new hinge that’s stronger than its predecessors.
On top of that, the Leica partnership with Xiaomi returns again on the Mix Fold 3, and while there’s no massive camera on the back like the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, you do get a quad rear camera setup here with the additional fourth sensor believed to be for a periscope telephoto shooter.
Unfortunately, just like Xiaomi’s previous foldable devices, it looks like the Mix Fold 3 will also be limited to its home country of China only, with no official release in other regions.
