Back in 2021, Acer released the original Swift X, a thin-and-light creator-focused laptop that packed a serious punch with powerful hardware under the hood at a very reasonable price. We had a chance to take it for a spin, and it quickly became one of my favourite ever laptops. Unfortunately, while Acer did redesign and refresh the Swift X with newer versions, they never launched it in Malaysia—until now, with the new Acer Swift X 14.

Acer Swift X 14 Malaysia pricing and availability

The Acer Swift X 14 is now available at the Acer Malaysia eStore as well as their authorised resellers nationwide. Here’s how much it’ll cost:

  • Acer Swift X 14, Intel Core i5-13500H, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 – RM5,999
  • Acer Swift X 14, Intel Core i7-13700H, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 – RM6,399
  • Acer Swift X 14, Intel Core i7-13700H, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 – RM7,399

On top of that, as part of its launch Acer Malaysia is offering all Acer Swift X 14 buyers free gifts worth up to RM529, including a Porsche Wireless Mouse and Acer Supercare extended warranty. This promotion will be ongoing from now till the end of July.

Acer Swift X 14 specs

With the highest spec model priced over a grand less than the base model MacBook Pro 14, the Acer Swift X 14 builds upon its predecessor with some impressive hardware in a thin-and-light chassis. Acer has kitted out the Swift X 14 with 13th Gen Intel Core H-series processors, along with up to 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to a 1TB PCIe Gen4 SSD, all in a laptop that’s just 1.55kg light and 17.8mm thick. You’ll have up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 graphics card for more intensive workloads and gaming on the side too.

The new Swift X 14 also arguably rectifies the one major flaw in the original Swift X that we reviewed: the display. The Swift X 14 now features a 14.5-inch OLED display in a 16:10 aspect ratio, pushing a WQXGA+ (2880 x 1800p) resolution that’s capable of 400nits of brightness. Its display is able to push out a 120Hz refresh rate too, along with full coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut as well as support for DisplayHDR TrueBlack 500.

As for I/O, the Swift X 14 features a HDMI 2.1 port, a microSD card reader, a 3.5mm audio jack, two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports, a USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 port and a USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 port. There’s also support for WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.1, while a 76Wh battery provides up to 10 hours of use. Other features of note include a 1080p60fps webcam with Acer Temporal Noise Reduction technology and a fingerprint reader.
