The cat is finally out of the bag, with Nothing officially revealing the Phone (2) on the global stage. If you’re keen on getting one for yourself, you won’t have to wait much longer as the Phone (2) will be coming to Malaysia on 14th July 2023.
Nothing Malaysia has confirmed that the Phone (2) will be launched in Malaysia this Friday, 14th July with two storage options to choose from, the 256GB and 512GB models with both packing 12GB of RAM. Malaysia will also be among the earliest in the world to get the Phone (2), with Nothing’s new smartphone going on sale on the 15th of July onwards at Crossover Mid Valley from 10am onwards.
Wider general availability for the Phone (2) will commence on 22nd July onwards on the official Nothing store on Lazada and Shopee, as well as their retail partners such as Yes 5G, DirectD, TMT, Urban Republic, Tac Mobile and Vivid Concepts.
As for its price, well there’s a good chance that it will start somewhere between RM3,000 and RM3,500. While the local pricing details will only be confirmed this Friday, we can already take some educated guesses on how much it’ll cost. For starters, while in the US the Nothing Phone (2) will start at USD599, that’s for the base model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage; Malaysia will not be getting that model.
Instead, Malaysia will be getting the 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB Phone (2) instead, which goes for USD699 (~RM3,255) and USD799 (~RM3,721) in the US. That would make it significantly more expensive than the original Phone (1).
