BYD appoints more dealers with 12 outlets coming soon. Here’s the list of BYD dealerships in Malaysia

Sime Darby Motors have announced the appointment of 14 BYD Dealers across Malaysia as part of its move to strengthen its EV foothold in the country. This brings the current BYD dealership network to a total of 21 outlets across Malaysia which include Sabah and Sarawak.

The appointment of the new dealers was made official during a signing ceremony at BYD Headquarters located in Shenzhen, China. The agreement was signed by Sime Darby Motors Retail & Distribution Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Macau Managing Director Jeffrey Gan with each of the dealer owners.

Jeffrey Gan said “This announcement marks another milestone as it has only been six months since we launched BYD in Malaysia and today, we have 21 dealership locations lined up to meet rising EV demand. This indeed demonstrates our confidence of EV prospects in Malaysia’s automotive industry while ensuring that we are well-equipped to serve the market.”

Commenting on the signing, BYD Malaysia Sdn Bhd Managing Director Eagle Zhao said “This agreement between Sime Darby Motors and BYD is yet another step forward in the automotive green revolution and is indicative of the changing dynamics of the industry. As
the partnership progresses, we expect to provide further technological advancements and consumer experience, driving the industry towards a greener, efficient and a more sustainable future.”

At the moment, there are 9 BYD dealership locations and here’s the current list:

  • Sime Darby Beyond Auto at Kuala Lumpur @TREC in Kuala Lumpur
  • Sime Darby Beyond Auto at Gurney Plaza, Penang
  • Sime Darby Beyond Auto at Ara Damansara, Selangor
  • Sime Darby Beyond Auto at Johor Bahru, Johor
  • Sisma Auto (KL) Sdn Bhd at Glenmarie, Selangor
  • Millennium Autobeyond at Cheras, Kuala Lumpur
  • Lee Motors(i) Sdn Bhd at Sungai Petani, Kedah
  • Wing Hin Venture at Balakong, Selangor
  • Be Drive Auto Sdn Bhd at Setia Alam, Selangor

The upcoming 12 BYD locations are located at the following locations:

  • Sing Kwung Motors Sdn Bhd at Melaka
  • Hong Thai Motor Trading Sdn Bhd at Alor Setar, Kedah
  • Iroll EV Sdn Bhd at Butterworth, Penang
  • Millennium Autobeyond Sdn Bhd at Kayu Ara, Selangor
  • Millennium Autobeyond Sdn Bhd at Seremban, Negeri Sembilan
  • Macinda EV Sdn Bhd at Kuantan, Pahang
  • EV Supreme Sdn Bhd at Batu Pahat, Johor
  • Regas EV Auto Sdn Bhd at Kuching, Sarawak
  • Regas EV Sabah Sdn Bhd at Kota Kinabalu, Sabah
  • Goh Brothers Cars Sdn Bhd at Ipoh, Perak
  • Denver Auto Sdn Bhd at Butterworth, Penang
  • Sime Darby Beyond Auto at Tebrau, Johor

At the moment, the BYD Atto 3 is the brand’s sole EV offering in Malaysia and it will be adding more models which include the BYD Dolphin hatchback and the BYD Seal sedan.
