This is it, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 will be launching at the end of this month. Samsung Malaysia has confirmed that the next Galaxy Unpacked event is scheduled for 26 July 2023.
The upcoming Galaxy Unpacked is also the first time it is held at Samsung’s home ground in Seoul, South Korea.
You can watch the event live at 7.00 pm (Malaysian Time) on Wednesday, 26th July 2023 from Samsung’s website and YouTube channel. You can also register your interest with Samsung Malaysia to get a RM400 eVoucher which you can get upon pre-order for the upcoming Galaxy Z devices.
The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is Samsung’s 5th generation foldable smartphone while the Z Flip 5 is their 4th flip phone. Since the introduction of the very first Galaxy Fold in 2019, Samsung has become a dominant player in the foldable segment. After years of development, Samsung has refined not just the hardware with better hinge and water resistance, but also optimising the user interface for the foldable form factor.
As seen in previous leaks, don’t expect a radical hardware design change for the upcoming Z Fold 5. However, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is expected to get a larger cover display which will definitely be something most people would look forward to. Similar to the current Galaxy S23 series, both devices are expected to run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy.
Since Malaysia is a key market for Samsung, you can expect local pre-orders to happen soon with special early bird deals. Malaysia will be among the first markets worldwide to get the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5.
