Oppo Reno 10 Pro+ Malaysia: Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, 64MP periscope telephoto, priced at RM3,499

Oppo has finally launched their Reno 10 series in Malaysia. While usually seen as their midrange lineup, this time around the Reno 10 series edges closer to the flagship category, with the Reno 10 Pro+ offering a flagship-tier processor along with some serious camera credentials.

Oppo Reno 10 Pro+ Malaysia pricing and availability

The Oppo Reno 10 Pro+ will be available in just one configuration with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Priced at RM3,499, you can pre-order it from today till the 14th of July from Oppo’s official stores on Lazada and Shopee as well as their retail partners nationwide, with all pre-orders getting free gifts worth up to RM896 which include the Oppo Enco Air 3 true wireless earbuds, Oppo Care and complimentary 3 hour access to the Plaza Premium Lounge.

Oppo Reno 10 Pro+ specs

The Oppo Reno 10 Pro+ sits at the top of the Reno 10 series, packing a large 6.74-inch, AMOLED 3D curved display that pushes a 2772 x 1240p resolution along with an up to 120Hz refresh rate and a peak HDR brightness of 1400nits, full coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and a 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio. Measuring just 8.28mm thick and 194g thick, Oppo claims it’s the slimmest smartphone out there with a periscope telephoto camera onboard, as well as an improved 20% drop resistance.

Under the hood, the Oppo Reno 10 Pro+ comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, mated to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. This may no longer be the most powerful mobile platform in the Android scene, but it’s still a flagship class chip from last year that should be more than enough for most users. Keeping it cool meanwhile is an upgraded ‘ultra-conductive’ cooling system. You’ll also find Android 13 out of the box, running ColorOS 13.1 over it.

It’s in the camera department though where the Reno 10 Pro+ stands out from its stablemates. Oppo has kitted it with a triple camera setup on the back, housing a main 50MP, f/1.8 camera using the Sony IMX890 sensor, a 64MP, f/2.5 periscope telephoto camera using a 1/2″ image sensor offering a 3x optical zoom as well as an 8MP, f/2.2 ultrawide shooter. In front meanwhile you’ll find a 32MP, f/2.4 camera for your selfie needs.

Other features of note include a 4,700mAh battery with 100W SuperVOOC fast charging, the first time a Reno device has gotten charging speeds this fast. According to Oppo, you’ll be able to charge the Reno 10 Pro+ to 100% in just 27 minutes. There’s also stereo speakers, an under display fingerprint sensor, an IR blaster as well as support for WiFi 6, NFC, 5G and Bluetooth 5.3. The Oppo Reno 10 Pro+ will be available in Glossy Purple and Silvery Grey.
